The Man Who Bill Replaced
This summer Bill shared his story about becoming the Dips Man in the Stands. He replaced "Big Mike" Ayers, who is pictured.
Bingo. Big Mike Ayers ! I admired him since the first game I attended at RFK in 1977. The biggest compliment I could ever pay him would be to say I tried my best to keep the flame burning after his departure. The circumstances surrounding the end of his relationship with the Diplomats does not diminish his efforts at every home game to rally the vocal support of the fans. He was the Master.
